Cognate Soul was created in April of 2019 formed by soloist DJ Mentary and DJ Silver Nova primarily playing Deep House and Trance music. In just six months weekly gigs and residency gigs were pouring in from the likes of nightclubs such as The Limbo, Chill BAR Highlands, Tryangles, closing out Kentuckiana Pride, Jeffersonville Pride and Louisville Pride. Playing for the Fresh Local Producers radio show and various other local internet radio stations.
